Write about a random act of kindness you’ve done for someone.

I had a supervisee who had a very hard life growing up. She was not a nice person because of it. But she worked super hard at the job and went above and beyond for the clients; making sure they had everything and more that they needed.

She never really made any money. She was the lowest paid person on staff. I believe that when you can affect change , you should. If you can make someone happy you should. Even if people will take that for granted.

So I spoke with the funders and they let me write a job description for what she was already doing that was outside of her job description. They approved it and she was promoted and got an increase of 35,000 dollars in top of what she was already making.

She never thanked me. She was a wounded person I did not take it personally. But I saw that her life improved. I wanted that for her, to finally have joy that she did not know as a child. I did it because no one ever had . And because I’d want someone to do that for me. It was the right thing to do.
